pictures from Wakeboard Worldcup 2005
here are a couple of shots i took at the recent Wakeboard WorldCup 2005 held at the Bedok Reservoir.it ranged length-wise across the reservoir, from the PUB dock to the Nparks carpack on the other end.incredibly it didn't rain at all. that would have been a real bummer. don't the flags look impressive? none of the kids holding them up dropped them at all. future potential MPs for national day performances. *lol*
ran to bedok reservoir
did a run to bedok reservoir last night from kembangan - achieved new high in personal running! now need to buy new Brooks shoes from SAF emart. *loppy grin*

was walking back from my run and observing drivers on the road. singapore drivers are such farkers sometimes you know. the weaving in and out, the not signalling and the excessive jamming of brakes...
so i was thinking, they should overhaul the TP department and hire more people...like 200 more traffic cops. the catch is you pay them like $500 a month, commission based. so everytime they catch someone flouting the law, they earn $50. so when it becomes performance-based, they will have to do some serious ass kicking.
but of cos, a system like that is open to abuse, so how do we normal plebians govern and defend ourselves from the system? we put rules down that run somewhat like this. 1) to catch and fine/arrest a driver, the TP must have at least 30 secs to 60 secs of recorded footage of the law being broken
OR 2) there must be a citizen witness willing to stand in court to testify on seeing the rule being broken.
so now you have got performance-based TPs going around with video recorders and drivers aiming to make sure they do not qualify for either criteria. what a climate of absolute 'fun'. driving becomes easier.
lenovo event rocked!
the launch of the z60 series for lenovo rocked! *grin* cannot imagine the hand on gut feeling i was having the past two nights and the slow bile buildup during the week leading up to today.
but...as all things come in due time, the event came, happened and went and all was well in this part of the world. the concurrent malaysia event was freakin'cool as well.
*heave sigh of relief*at least the late past two nights paid off somehow.
i ran until my the soles of my shoes came off
i was just doing my regular run and the sole of the right side came off towards the end of my sprint.
*woah...*
next thing you know i need new socks as well cos the dang heat must be burning the feet off. (yes i must be kidding - as dramatic as the title is, it really isn't the way it could be imagined to be.)
it's less than 100 days to 2006. isn't that exciting? like fwah, 2005 not even really rockin' yet and the new year is here! personally, cannot wait for 2006 to get here man, it's like the last 90 days of 2005 is jammed packed with waaaaaaayyy too much stuff.
what happened? it's like everyone was snoozing through the first 8 months then realised that they have too much
(insert term; choice between time/money/resources/interns/pent-up frustration) and decided to fill up the remaining calendar dates with whatever they can that hopefully will make the half-year report look good.
bloody hell.
