was walking back from my run and observing drivers on the road. singapore drivers are such farkers sometimes you know. the weaving in and out, the not signalling and the excessive jamming of brakes...
so i was thinking, they should overhaul the TP department and hire more people...like 200 more traffic cops. the catch is you pay them like $500 a month, commission based. so everytime they catch someone flouting the law, they earn $50. so when it becomes performance-based, they will have to do some serious ass kicking.
but of cos, a system like that is open to abuse, so how do we normal plebians govern and defend ourselves from the system? we put rules down that run somewhat like this. 1) to catch and fine/arrest a driver, the TP must have at least 30 secs to 60 secs of recorded footage of the law being broken OR 2) there must be a citizen witness willing to stand in court to testify on seeing the rule being broken.
so now you have got performance-based TPs going around with video recorders and drivers aiming to make sure they do not qualify for either criteria. what a climate of absolute 'fun'. driving becomes easier.
