The past 10 days in perspective; buy a SD card?;Mosaic Music Festival; Placebo; liverpool scoring -let it be true!

alright so everyone is telling me i should update this blog more often, that i am not making the effort anymore. gosh if i could squeeze in just one more hour in a day(refer to last post)...trust me i would do so. so to make up somehow, i spent time on a photoshop collage as well. see i have redeemed myself!

was talking to Cat (she likes to call herself that, and if i linked her up, she would kill me...meow me to death? hmmm); and i was just outlining to her my 'known' schedule until june, and i realised that i would have completed at least ten different campaign/events/deliverables by end june. 'known' schedule items do not include the sudden statement of support expressed when you are 'arrowed' into joining a campaign or supporting an event. in perspective, i probably had like 10 deliverables for the whole first half of 2005!

sigh...give me strength. need to remind myself about why i am chosing to do this. memory is currently failing me anyway.

picture above is about the nice parts of the last 10 days. i figured that there wasn't much point to mix together different pictures of my workstation, products and word documents that i am on at the moment.

went for the latino jazz festival last saturday night at the nokia powerhouse, mosaic music festival (even writing, also macham writing press release like that eh?) and it rocked! there was crowd, there was great scenery, there was cool wind from the harbour and fantastic music! heard the latino/spanish version of frank sinatra's 'My Way' and some salsa/funk dance mix at the outdoor concert. too bad the band couldn't move the entire crowd to dance but 75% isn't too bad.

looking forward to this thursday evening! gonna catch placebo live at the Nokia-MTV concert and...i have got post-party tickets as well! woohoo! finally there are some perks to this job!

liverpool thrashed fulham 5-1 and newcastle 3-1. please god, let them be scoring and in the right form. i realised how strong being a red can be when two guys who meet up for the first time one night shake hands in the beginning, find out they are both red and clasp hands like bros when they leave. such is the power of being a red; you never walk alone. laura, you reading this? time for you to convert!!bwahaha...

7 day specialist

it's been a real hectic first 3 months of 2006 - and i suddenly realised i left my mind in 2004.

i was talking to this WSJ (Asia) columnist, Jeremy Wagstaff, when he remarked that he has been in Asia since 1987. So. i said 'that's real long...in 3 year's time, you will have been here for 20 years.' then it hit me. it is 2006 this year. he is ONE year away from 20 years, not 3.

since the intel NAPA launch, me and my colleagues have all been moving full steam ahead - often getting the brief, preparing and executing campaigns all within 7 days (weekends included). this is a ridiculous way of getting good work done. i would rather be known and remembered by a good piece of work that i labour months over to produce than a 7 day campaign when all i am ensuring is 'best effort'.

first it was intel, then nokia then lenovo then nokia and nokia again, coming up with yahoo! then nokia the next day and then my company offsite the day after(for training, not relaxation!) then SFF and MTV and nokia again. inbetween all the interviews and press releases and plans and analysis...i should be in an MNC no? 7pm is considered 'late'; 8pm is 'spoiling the market'. i would love to be 'spoiling' the freaking market IF i am paid over the blardy market rate!!

so yup, 7 days are nonsensical timelines to work with - what is wrong with 2006? With everyone rushing through this year - roses to smell no smell the roses?

i need leave.
