Christmas lights are already up in Orchard...

you would think that we would learn from our mistakes every year. but no we don't. christmas lights keep getting set up earlier and earlier every year. that stupid horrendous christmas tunes start blaring out from departmental stores...driving me to want to smash the inhouse CD player or go home.

if spenders like me go home, driven away by the early start to christmas then maybe they will learn not to start the 'jolly' season so early.

wassup with beginning 6 weeks ahead of schedule? look, 1 Dec with the lights and all? forgivable. 10 Nov with the light up? why for goodness sakes? and besides whose money is being used to pay for all the electricity and such. i can feel my pocket getting lighter already.

some of those caught in the act...
also check this out; 'unnamed' ATM has list of nearest ATM outlets by proximity to location. it raises the question; 'does the ATM break down so often that enough people have called and therefore the bank provides the list of nearest other ATMs to this one?'

2 straight, not straightened:

ya i drove by orchard road on 25 october and honestly thought the lights were for deepavalli. only when i looked closer did i realise what they were for. i was aghast.

haha, and the atm... well, maybe it's just a really popular atm and runs out of money faster than most other atms, hence the need to direct withdrawers to other money-filled ones.

well, some context lar, those three atms are the ones that break down the most...i have even called UOB to complain about it before.

i tend to do my banking transactions late at night...and it pisses me off when i have to go driving around to find an atm that is working.

therefore i have switched to other banks already...less grief.
