pool foiled chelsea's FA Cup final hopes

woo hoo! pool won chelsea 2-1 to make it to the FA cup finals! *inane grin* AND...no more chance of a double for chelsea this season, they probably only have the EPL championships left for hardware in the closet. awww...

now i am not normally a man u supporter, but if they can delay chelsea for one more week, that would be pure agony for jose. at least i would like to think so. check out what our dear jose had to say to the Reds after the loss
here. fer cryin' out loud, he wouldn't even shake hands...

for other, more local sports news, the nokia defend your turf local championships took place on saturday. after watching 44 teams play it out the entire day, two teams emerged as local champs - team vanuatu (under 20 champs) and on the run(under 23 champs). the teams had some really good players and i am really looking forward to seeing who becomes the most valuable player, to be chosen by Nokia and FAS.

so there i was managing the interview with
ESPN football crazy hosts PJ and Andy while they were presenting the under 23 dudes and they asked the group to introduce themselves. this was the exact line, 'hi! we are ON THE RUN!' tell me why that sounded really wrong...but they are great players, friendly guys and i am genuinely excited about watching them take on the Boys From Brazil, come 6 may. it will be home ground advantage - come try and take our turf!

btw, 6 may is elections day - so all those 21 and above, please remember to go cast your votes, unless it is a walkover. hmm. anyways, as usual the elections are held on a saturday, so for those not working 1/2 day, there is NO bloody holiday. for once, even tho they may not need the votes, can't they just have the elections on a weekday, so that we can ALL have a legitimate holiday in the midst of a work week, go cast votes, watch a movie, have lunch with the gf, chill out and relax at dinner and drinks with some friends w/o having to think about work!!?? is THAT too much to ask for? *sigh* see la, now i go make paragraph about elections, scally need to go register at duno-what site. (ed: see i read newspapers leh!!) umm, to save my ass, vote for the party that you think rationally, logically, based on what they can offer with regard to 10,15 years stability, do the best for our country!! that should be obvious enough.
