i like the concept of the free market

i like the way the free market system works...when StarHub releases prices that beat M1 which coincidentally re-worked their prices to cut SingTels' even though M1 released prices before SingTel but got worried with SingTel releasing more competitive prices. bet both didn't bet on StarHub giving away free incoming video calls.

i like the way the free market works...when Japan 'apologises' to China simply because China surpassed the US as Japan's biggest trading partner. isn't it ironic?don't get me wrong here. i am actually in support of Japan not giving in. remember the scenario of the playground bully and how everyone must give in to him? and the one kid that ignored the bully and told him off always got picked on more? same case happening here.

i like the way the free market works...when a corporate actually decides to try and sue people for sharing files. these people are probably the generationjust after the reign of 'free love' was being violently expressed in parks and squares and everything else. and now all that they say happens to be centered around the concept of control.

irony reigns in this world of fools.

new location : the reading room

discovered! new location to chill. called the reading room, they have items on the menu like kopi, soft drinks and normal international food. their chicken wings weren't too bad, nice hot and juicy, and costs about $6 for a plate of 6-8 wings. also the same price as the bedok ba chor mee area there.

also, covered in the location hopping, that Dome at Suntec askes customers whether they are there for food or drinks and allocate seats accordingly. seemingly, this is to decide who gets the comfortable sofas vs. the hard leather chairs.

and one more...moonfish's seafood pasta combo comes with 'zi char' looking like soup. so it has noodles, prawns, mussels and scallops with a white wine sauce that seems more soup than gravy. valued at $21.50.

fallen angel, spiral reflections

to those who have a heart, this pose i a question to thee.

should a friend dear you are to, have problem grave it could be,
to have painful days in a year number more than 96,
do what will you, think how would you deal?

this situation i give to you, tell me you what would you do,
to see him suffer, nought you can do,
ease his pain much you can, relieve him of it sadly unable to.

so tell again my story i will, what action do you take,
to let him eternally go, or to let him remain,
holding onto you, you unable to let go?

so stuck here i am, unable to choose,
asking your opinion fair, offer what can you,
tell me all the truths, spare him all the pain.

much thanks for listening to this tale, offer me what thou wilt.

what's the point of a signal if you do not use the bloody thing?

allow me to extrapolate on why this nation is having a falling birth rate. contrary to popular opinion that out national citizens are too tired to have sex and make love after returning home late from work, let me offer to you an alternative opinion.

the reason why i believe that our nation has a falling birth rate is due to IDIOTS not signalling on the roads. this, of course, leads to many consequences which i shall attempt to outline in my argument below:

1) it is too stressful to drive in the mornings, in the afternoons and at night or in the early morning, the late morning, the early afternoon, late afternoon, early evening etc...(you get the idea). the stress causes both sperm and ova levels to fall gradually, creating an accumulative effect which results in low sperm count or irregular periods therefore making the proportional chances of having a baby significantly smaller.

2) accident rate increases due to sloppiness of our nation's many drivers. more accidents results in more injuries to persons, whether mental or physical. hence less people able to make love, less chances of procreation occuring, therefore less children.

3) the attitude of those IDIOTS who do not signal results in dissonance and negative feelings about wanting to bring another life into this land filled with those same IDIOTS who are selfish, think only of themselves and aren't concerned with the rest of humanity( think the Hague will put them on trial?). since there are negative feelings associated with the idea of bringing a child into this world, mental barriers are created that lead to the lack of progeny.

4) in a bid to get their current child to school on time, which by the way starts waaaaay toooo EARLY, parents forget simple road etiquette and tend not to signal when required to by law. they become IDIOTS. hence to keep the genetic pool uncontaminated, it is best for them not to have more children. subconsciously realising their worthlessness, their non-desire to procreate is often manisfested as reluctance and hesitation to make love with their spouses due to crappy reasons like 'too tired' or 'not tonight' or 'what if the children hear us?'. thank god for less IDIOTS.

hence based on the four seperate trends as briefly outlined above, it can be seen that these IDIOTS' failure to do the simplest action while driving, can result in one of our nation state's gravest problems.

all comments are welcome.

blogspot technology. *GRrrrr*

anyways this is the fifth time i am retyping this. blogspot did a
'cannot find server' on me just as i was publishing the previous posts.
isn't it funny how when something like this happens, you don't really
feel like talking about what you were writing about anymore? it could
only be like 5 minutes since it happened, but you just don't wanna?
kinda like you feel insulted that technology in some way has let you
down?

summaried version of what i was saying before.

1) was at swensens. like their sourdough buns. think that size has
shrunk. feel that cost and size are inversely proportion due to greeedy
merchants' business model. higher cost, smaller size.

i like my food.

2) downloaded firefox onto my laptop. seems pretty decent. got funny
extensions. * bandwidth download * weather check * ad block (i actually
had to download this?!) but anyways, will see how it performs for a
while.

3) grames - the second statment is a direct translation of the first, in latin.

rainy monday and gloomy tuesday

no no, am not depressed or anything. was just staring at the clouds the past two mornings as i woke up. and in something approaching an ephiphanic moment, i realise that being able to wake up in the morning AND just being able to look up into the sky, whether sunny or cloudy, is a treasure in itself.

and no i am not pondering about my mortality here.

the Pope has died. long live the Pope! *Pope has died. porro ago Pope!*
