thank god it's a Friday
woohoo! welcome johanna to the wonderfully delicate world of cyber-writing that is otherwise known as blogging. ain't it so fun that you have been infected by the 'convert the unconverted' spiel that every blogger seems to have put you through?so thanks to the happy suggestions of everyone who read my MSN nick and my whinging about there not being a bakery near my office...they have all pointed me in two seperate extreme directions. tks to jo( can i call u that? it makes it easier to type than johanna), anyways, according to her delightful analysis ( after coming to the rational conclusion that my ofc isn't anyway near orchard road
the other alternative is to drown my delectably acute bread-attuned taste buds into delifrance bread. *disgust* no offence again to all loyal delifrance patrons, but with a subway in the same building, there really is no competition.
i want a breadtalk or confectionery not a coffeebean but instead i end up with a spinelli's. what kind of ironic justice is that??!!
oh oh ... hey lin! still manning the customers' slot at Heeren? you really shouldn't have mentioned raffy you know. that really kind of gave the game away. *grin* glad you found the site.
and now for the final reason why i started this entry - i am so glad it's a long weekend. it took forever for the four days to pass by. and so many peeps on MSN were counting down (no liv, we weren't the only ones).and this week just seemed full of anticipation for the weekend, like the closest approximate i can remember is waaaaaay back during that wasteful period of youth termed army days. it was like the coolest thing was to wait to book out on a saturday afternoon. everything, and i meant literally everything sped by on saturday morning. you will wake up and breakfast isn't interesting, the cleaning is easier to complete, whatever lecture that takes place seems to move onwards more speedily although i swear you don't remember anything after that. as the hours fall to minutes, it's as though you start sensing blood (if you were a shark or croc) and the adrenaline starts pumping and your body moves to action.
then something like the following normally occurs. some idiot will do something stupid and run a risk of the entire platoon staying back for another hour.the heady rush of emotions when some jerk delays the booking out time is a scenario that everyone dreads. the indiction to violence, manifested as a simple curse in the beginning to all-round resentment to muttered threats towards the end kinda leaves no room in the mind of the accused what would be happening, if there wasn't any authority around.
*memories*
but anyways, that's all in the past. this week was pure anticipation and now with the end of the thursday workday and the onset of friday, it's a simple flow to a pleasurable weekend.
have a great easter holiday everyone!
