calendar days
so i decide to follow a trend (yes yes shock shock horror horror) and put the day in my MSN nick.along comes olivia who conveniently tells me that this trend was HER idea.
'COPYCAT!' she says
'....' (to borrow a line, yes the dots are intentional). 'everyone's doing it now, so i ain't copying!'
and she went 'yah riiiiggghhhtt...'.
*silence* (yes, the silence is intentional)

wandered the entire length of Chinatown looking for an eatery that was open to ta pao some food. was like really surprised that even Banquet food court, opposite Hong Lim Complex, closed at like 8pm. there was like no food, even the yong tau foo was sold out. *sigh*
so i trudged back the length of Chinatown, back to where i started from and settled for one of those kopithiams that cater to tourists. you know the type where the old aunty selling drinks can debate with you why her beer tastes better than the kopi bing(ice coffee). and the uncle selling the zi char(food that can be made to order) is able to explain in coherent english the difference between fried rice and mui fan(rice with seafood & gravy). one is stir-fried and the other has gravy.
i had mui fan.
2 straight, not straightened:
