counting down the days with lotsa pictures!
17 days to movin' in!time just seems to be flying by this month. already there's like 2 weeks left to the actual move. dropped by to see the place earlier today. looked a mess. and somewhat smaller when everything's been stripped bare. yet, there's this feeling of excitement when i think about everything that's going to fill up the spaces.
baby and i picked out the kitchen accessories from this place in yishun last sun; we dropped by the lighting store with the interior designer today to pick out the house lights. i can actually 'see' the way the rooms are going to turn out. i love the patio. now all i need is a good gazebo to cover the 'lounging' area. crystal mirror
i had the opportunity to be one of the first in SG to catch the Crystal Mirror last wednesday, tks to Nokia! *grin* the crystal mirror is essentially a dinner theatre. there is great food, good alcohol and different entertainment. all performed as part of a carnival within a circus-like atmosphere.
the venue is set up at one side of the padang and resembles a small dome shaped circus from one angle and a high-rech kitchen on the other. i didn't really believe it when i saw the guest list and we had 50+ tables within the tent!
the one thing that i disagree on though, is the price. apparently it's like $400+ per person to enjoy the full visual and gastronomic pleasure of entertainment, dinner and drinks. i honestly didn't think the performance is worth that much.bridge@ clarke quay overlooking 'Central' - taken with a Nokia N80. love the view. had to wait for the bum boat to pass under. IT SHOW 2007!
as usual, i attended another one of those over-crowded, poorly organised, one that was really full of rude people, and did i mention, a virtual confusing maze of booths, shows that took place just this weekend at suntec.
the pros though, included saving a couple of hundreds on the LCD tvs that we got for the house, a home theatre system that's white...like the xbox 360 that i will eventually buy as well as a 2Gb miniSD card and 2 GB SD card for $69.
will i go back again in june? i am sure that i will convince myself to somehow.
Mosaic Opening party@ esplanade's theatre studioMosaic had their opening party last friday at their theatre studio. one more gripe cos this is one thing i really cannot stand. they freakin' jam all their performance areas! no one gets coverage reception at all! hmmph! what an undemocratic way of enforicng their house rules. blardy hell!!
couple of misc. shots that i have to share - all taken with a Nokia N80.taken at republic polytechnic. i think that we need to cut the education budget more and let us middle-income people actually breathe easier, knowing that even though we are the only 40% of the population that pays farking income tax in SG, that at least it isn't going to some foreign architect who's laughing to the bank after he finished RP.
caught this scence at Ikea Alexandria. isn't the kid really comfortable?
another picture from Ikea again. i didn't realise that they did auctions. but doesn't the guy holding the loudhailer actually inspire confidence in you that you 'might' be getting a good deal. maybe with a wig...
